Aster Europa has developed a coal boiler for the black version of the SNCF 140C together with Aster Hobby Japan after a strong customer request.

This new optional coal boiler kit will be available at the end of this August. Inside this kit is everything what you need to convert the alcohol version into the coal version! You can perfom with the loco more or less 40 minutes with a 3¹/₂ minutes rythem of coal reloading on the firebed. After this time the ashbox has to be emptied, before you can continue driving. In case of the price this is a very attractivce opporturnity for the one who is thinking of beginning with the Gauge 1 coal fireing! As the quality of the coal is very determinding for the driving and heating performance of the loco there will be a frist need of coal provided by Aster Europa in case of a purchase!
